September 16, 2021 - Plum, Cherry flavours. Lively acidity with a long finish with notes of black olive & fresh-roasted coffee.

September 13, 2020 - Ruby hue that opens with violet and hibiscus aromas. Red and black fruit dominate the front palate while black olive, anise and black cherry bramble lingers on a lasting finish. Medium acidity, tannins and moderately high alcohol blend into a smooth full-bodied wine.

September 12, 2020 - Assez charnu, fruits murs, fruits noirs, bon vin de bbq et sauce sucré.

May 15, 2020 - 88 is in middle of very good, which this is, definitely.
Dark, earthy, strong blackberry, cigar box/tobacco. NOT a timid wine, but not a fruit or alcohol bomb. Carmenere was one of the original 6 Bordeaux varietal grapes, but not grown there anymore for the most part. Seems to have a future in South America.
Not having had a single varietal of this previously, I can not tell whether this is varietally correct, but it seems like a cross between either Petit Verdot and Merlot or Cab Franc and Merlot, so my best guess is that it is varietally correct.

Wish we had waited another year on this...give it plenty of air if wanting to consume now, popnpour will lead to disappointment.
We paid $19.29 in Crested Butte several years ago and ended up taking it home. Seems like good QPR even at ski resort prices.

April 26, 2020 - Earthy, herbal aromas. Dark fruit and leather. Blackberries on the palate nicely balanced with a splash of black pepper on the finish. Potential to develop further over another 2 or 3 years as still has lively tannins and good acidic balance.
