August 17, 2023 - Deep ruby with heavy tearing and moderate extraction. Ripe and jammy red and black fruits. Cherry, blackberry. Pepper, spice, cedar. Dust, clay, soil. Potpurri. Some green pepper. On the palate, rich, earthy, and fruity. Nicely balanced between ripe fruit and strong structure. Oak is present and fits in nicely. Overall, pretty good. Could us a little more acidity to balance the richness but I'm being picky.
