  August 3, 2022 - No formal notes, but this was quite good. There was obvious ripeness from the vintage and strawberry notes that hinted at bit at Grenache, although it didn't have that weight on the palate.

  October 2, 2011 - This Trousseau start to "pinote" a little bit. Nice pale color with brickish rim. Very floral. Ripe red cherry with a hint of licorice on the nose along some notes reminding of an old grange. Balanced, not showing any over ripeness. Delicious even if the palate is a little simple.

At the least, decant it an hour or so. I opened it when my Sagrantino was hopelessly closed, and this could have used a similar treatment.

  April 8, 2009 - Beautiful pale ruby color with perfect translucence. The nose is strawberry jam smeared on a horse's ass, with fragrant wildflower just outside the barn for good measure. The palate shows ripe cherry and strawberry flavors and a touch of sweetness, yet it's not at all heavy. Ready to drink but not over the hill.
