  April 29, 2018 - Drank a bunch of these last April while bumming it for a month in St. Helena. Thought it was a tasty wine then but the year smoothed out the rough edges, resulting in a better balanced wine.

  December 21, 2017 - 14.8% abv. Dark plum purple, light rim. Massive in glass, Long slow staining of tears. Nose of brambly valley floor fruit, flowers, cinnamon buns, black licorice. Full mouthfeel, deep and full tannins all over. On the palate more dark fruits, cocoa, clove orange peel. Needs time or 4hr decant.

  November 3, 2017 - Haven't tried Behrens Family Wines for quite some time, and I was very impressed with Spare Me. The quality of the wine and the price paid was unbelievable. Not decanted, the color is rich purple and the fruit packs a punch! Mostly red with some black fruit (cherry, raspberry and blackberry), sweet tannins and slight traces of chocolate on the finish.
  
  We had 4 bottles of wine and everyone kept coming back to this! 93-94 points and ready now.

  April 21, 2017 - Similar notes to previous bottle. A bit too acidic, but overall a pleasure.

  April 18, 2017 - A big wine at a nice Napa price. A bit acidic on the finish and in need of time or decanter hours, but otherwise a pleasing wine.
