April 30, 2024 - Classic sauv blanc with honeydew melon, kiwi, lime and some grassy notes. However where this is special is in the aged notes that have been imparted at this point. Lemon oil, cured citrus and kiwi are all on display and there is an added viscous texture to the wine. A really nice glass of Cali SB.

January 19, 2024 - Last bottle of the 2016 Sauvignon Blanc, all with somewhat consistent notes. Still a perfect match with Chinese and drinking very well. Citrus, floral and mineral notes in the nose and flavor. Nice structure and acidity, well balanced, medium bodied and a medium length finish.

May 27, 2023 - Light to medium yellow with a green tinge. This is a pretty classic Sauvignon Blanc with aromas and flavors of grassy grapefruit, orange peel, thyme and a minty element. The grass notes faded with air. Bright acidity makes it very food friendly. There is a bitter element that for me is typical of the “grapefruit flavor” in the mid-palate and on the finish, which to me is a distraction that some others might like. Better with more air with a rounder and more luscious mouthfeel. Definitely one of the better Sauvignon Blanc’s made in the USA in my opinion, realizing that comes from someone who is not particularly fond of the grape.

May 7, 2023 - Similar notes as last tasting five months ago. Lots of citrus in the nose, lemons and lime with hints of floral and minerality. Very similar flavor as the nose. Nice structure and balance. Medium bodied and a medium to long finish.

March 19, 2023 - Has mellowed and nose is lychee and cantaloupe. Acidity has diminished but still very enjoyable with grilled salmon and chili crisp
