May 4, 2014 - Dark purple. Aroma of cinnamin and blueberries with an undertone of pencil shavings. On the palate softened tannins, blueberry up front with a finsh of cinnamon and nutmeg followed by some oak. Beautifully matured wine.

March 11, 2013 - Aroma of fruit, hint of pencil shavings upon opening. Opened up nicley. On the palette, full bodied, moderate tannin, cinnamon, blackberries, and some chocolate. Drink now.

January 4, 2011 - Deep purple color. Nice hit of mint on the nose. Lots fruit on taste with a little oak. Still young.

June 2, 2010 - Cherry on the nose upon opening, and a tight, tannic, sour cherry taste immediately after opening. Decanted and followed over the next few hours. Proved more silky with vanilla overtones after about an hour. Tart cherries remained over the two hours this was consumed and the wine never quite opened up entirely. Good now, but promises to be better. Agree with those that recommend another few years in the bottle.

February 2, 2010 - Popped & poured. Still tight, predominantly oak and tannins. Opened up nicely after a couple of hours. Decent fruit, good body and depth. Fairly long finish. I think it needs at least a two more years in the cellar to moderate the tannins and achieve better balance.
