Community Tasting Notes 7

  • Caruso Likes this wine: 88 points

September 8, 2019 - Purple. Red berry fruit with herbal notes note a bit like a red chinon from cabernet franc vines. But on the palate much smoother but with nice acidity. Not everybodies darling because of its uncommon flavors and scents. Nevertheless high quality and going well with food. Fully mature and not likely to improve or even hold through more than a couple of years maximum. -2019+? 5/11/15/7

April 10, 2019 - Kinda like a cranberry ocean spray drink. Brut nature.

December 21, 2018 - The sparkling bonarda rose! Which actually smells pretty good and tastes pretty good too!

  • Caruso Likes this wine: 90 points

October 14, 2017 - Purple. Spicy and fruity and complex enough to be animating and boah, so burgundy. Of course there is no burgundy out there for this price, but if this would be labeled as a french wine from burgundy it would be at least three fold the price and no one would rate it lower than 88 points at least. But the 90 points from Luis GutiƩrrez at the Wine Advocate are conservative from my point of view. This makes it to one of my few every day wines, because of its extraordinary price/quality relationship and the style.

September 24, 2017 - Aromas of black cherry, pomegranate, spice and mineral. Medium bodied with medium(-) acid and tannin, flavors of mint and licorice, and short-ish length. Reminded me of a decent Cotes du Rhone. Great price tho! Better with grilled chicken than beef. Drink now.
