Community Tasting Notes 4

  • BoulderWine Does not like this wine: 85 points

February 10, 2021 - Darker color with dark fruit. No finesse or character here, just a brute and not what I look for in a Pinot.

  • Terramare Likes this wine: 93 points

September 24, 2020 - Exceptional fruit on this Deviate, still seems relatively early in its life despite being five years on. Suggesting 2027 end-date.

January 5, 2020 - Nice Pinot. By far the best of the Dutton Goldfield lineup. QPR not exactly there, paid $65 for the bottle, but not horrible either. Better values in Sonoma but just glad this one was as good as it was.

February 13, 2019 - Scotty Shears Blind Pinot Parade (Shear's Grotto): Double blind wine #3. Wow wine of this tasting. Beautiful nose of Cherry and rose petal. Medium bodied pinot on the palate, flavor just gushes and its very tasty. This is in the perfect drinking window and I think it'll maintain this level for 3-5 years. My favorite wine of the tasting. Scott B's bottle.
