Community Tasting Notes 3

  • Pey2001 Likes this wine:

December 26, 2021 - Was hoping this would be more oxidative, but there is only a hint on the nose. White peach and a little pineapple on the palate. Not a lot of acidity, but rather gets a bit of vigour from a slight minerality and subtle astringency. With dinner I felt that it was a bit flat, lacking enough acid or tannin to stand up to food. Left some or overnight and it got a little more pith, but not great improvement.

February 28, 2020 - Good but not great. Nice tropical fruit, hints of tangerine. as you would expect of a Hermitage Blanc the key characteristic is one of comfort rather than freshness. Nice wine, ready to drink now, doubt it will improve. Likely to move to oxidative caramel notes over the next few years.

March 14, 2017 - Nutty nose, marzipan and lemons
Lovely texture, so delicious to swirl around the mouth
Ripe fruit and long nutty finish. In an oxidative style but nothing to frighten the horses to much.
