  February 17, 2024 - Opened about two hours in advance, then drunk over dinner. No TN, from memory.
  Pungent nose at first, with the alcohol quite prominent. With time it quiets down, becomes more balanced and interesting, showing lovely Nebbiolo fruit and nice complexity, even though not quite at the level of their Baroli. The palate is surprisingly rich, then over the course of the dinner it also finds a better balance and shows more subtle notes on top of the bold fruit. Wonderful Langhe Nebbiolo.

  July 7, 2023 - Heavy on the balsamic characteristics with balsam and red fruit on the palate. Nearly resolved tannins but still quite a suggestion of body. Good but I think I would have enjoyed this a tad younger.

  December 1, 2022 - Bold and darkish-balsamic, with a purple touch. Rich in the mouthfeel with velvety elements and underlying earthy and tarry notes. A real joy to drink today with its generous bouquet.

  June 5, 2022 - Three years ago I thought maybe this was best just after release but here again it is absolutely wonderful. Had that sanded down structure, but still red and fresh with some of the fruitful appeal now enveloped in the silk of early maturity. I think this is as good as it will ever be, or at least close to it, so drink in the next three years but don’t panic.

  July 31, 2021 - Anniversary wine! decanted about an hour before tasting and in a great place right now. paired with an array of things but best was chanterelle pasta. a really nice Nebbiolo with some good complexity but holding onto the fruit nicely at this stage.
