February 28, 2024 - PnP. Still a strong ruby-purple color, and has good legs. Pleasant aromas of forest floor, menthol, tobacco and chocolate. Smooth, sleek and glassy texture, with tons of savory, suave fruit well in evidence. I'm not terribly familiar with this grape, but I like it. Drinking beautifully now, and likely for years ahead. 5-12-16-8: 91/100.

December 26, 2022 - This vintage is deep yet with middle fruit and mineral tones. Some raspberry type notes.
It paired very nicely with a creamy andouille and pepper pasta.
Appreciate this unique grape. It is unlike any other varietal. -

January 4, 2022 - Popped last night. Deep, dark violet-red, pretty much opaque. Unlike last night, now has a nice, very obvious pretty raspberry nose. Good vinosity. Very much follows on the palate, with good raspberry fruit framed by medium tannins and just the right hint of acidity. Perhaps the best pure Tannat wine I have ever had. Bravo, Tablas! 5-12-17-9: 93/100.
