Community Tasting Notes 4

January 16, 2024 - Typical Bresaandes from Christine: delicious even in this young stage. Not overly tannic and what there is - is well-mannered. I really like the savory side of the dark red cherry fruit. Delightful and likely more intrigue down the road.

November 27, 2023 - Brightly garnet coloured, with still ruby hints, this Corton Bressandes shows it’s viscosity in the glass, displaying complexity on the nose.
Raspberries coulis, crushed redcurrants, stewed strawberries, classic forest floor, wet leaves, damp earth, a touch of licorice, orange potpourri, roasted cocoa, leather, baking spices, nutmeg, moss, and noble wood.
Luscious full bodied, high acidity, silky ample tannins, still powerful, great concentration without being too heavy or too boldly structured.
Elegant palate, poised but with masculine strenght, quite austere, again pure little red fruits, berries, cocoa, sweet spices and a very pleasant earthiness. Orange peel finish. Typical great minerality from the terroir. Very long palate.
Quite open and seamless drinkability after 8 years, but this will develop and improve for many years easily reaching its 15th birthday.
    Drink from 2023-2033.

October 30, 2021 - Pnp. Obviously young, rich cherry/cranberry/clove on the nose. Nice tension on the palate. Closed down after a few hours. Might be very nice when mature on the other side. Was a real hit at the table.
Score :93. Relative to expectations: ++

July 21, 2021 - Châine dinner at Bindille. Drinking young, but delicious. Rich cranberries with lots of unfolding layers. Served with eaqually rich copper river salmon which paired incredibly well.
