April 30, 2022 - Medium ruby colour. Pronounced and developing nose with red plum, black cherry, forest floor, mushroom, dark chocolate, leather, autumn leaves, sweet tobacco and black pepper. Pronounced taste of red cherry, red plum, forest floor, mushroom, autumn leaves, leather and black pepper. Long and dry finish. High acidity. Medium tannins. Medium body. An outstanding and well matured Corton Bressandes. Drink now or over the next five years. Goes well with duck, game, poultry or veal.

February 5, 2022 - This was a pop and pour as it was my backup bottle but I couldn’t resist opening it after Ryan served a ‘55 Henri de Villamont Corton blind. This probably could have used more air, but I thought it availed itself well, offering ripe red cherry, a touch of game, a slight piquancy which complemented the depth of fruit. Probably still a few years from peak drinking. 92-93

August 30, 2020 - glad to see I have four more in storage, this wasn't as big as my 2018 note would suggest, but then again it may be just a little shut down ('05's are amazing that way... long adolescence for sure), anyway, this was OK'ish on night one... in retrospect it was shut / showing little/nothing... at first I thought it simply isn't have any body, but on night two it opened up nicely with some good red fruit and spice, and nice acidity for balance... more elegant than some of my '05's but very nice on night two... def'ly decant in the AM for a few hours before re-bottling if your drinking this at dinner time
