Community Tasting Notes 5

March 5, 2020 - Better than the last, with more lift and distinct nose and palate. More enjoyable and still good a day or two later. Perhaps the last was a bit off?

November 22, 2019 - stone fruit and mineral nose. Good weight but not complex. The wine faded substantially by day two, even in the fridge with argon. Would have expected more reserve. Summary: tasty and drinkable but finish it!

October 14, 2018 - Citrus & mineral driven white which is heavy on the acidity & light on any creamy mouthfeel. To me this is a little unbalanced.

May 20, 2018 - Benjamin Leroux is a great talent and my experience (with his whites only) has been universally positive. This entry leve white is just getting into its stride and will last.

  • WineTally Likes this wine:

December 16, 2017 - From 2 ha of 3 north facing terroirs (Les Hautés, La Macabrée and Les Boutonniers) with vines dating back to 1946.

A(ccuracy)=2: Med lemon/gold. Mildly yeasty varietal.
B(alance)=2: Smooth components, bit shy on vibrancy.
    C(omplexity)=2: Citrus, tree fruits, mineral.
D(epth)=1: Even kilt, average length and finish.

    Wine Tally Score [2,2,2,1] = 7/10

Ripe yet fresh, well made and easy drinking.
