March 28, 2024 - 8 hour decant and it isn’t too much. So young and closed still. Lots of blackberries and rose right in your nose. Quite dry tannic start but gets much better with food. Very powerful and modern Barolo. Long aftertaste and a promise of a long life.

December 22, 2022 - Mørke bær, tannin og utrolig mundfylde. Kunne sagtens klare flere års lagring

November 28, 2021 - Return to Piemonte!; 11/25/2021-12/4/2021 (Castello di Sinio, Alba, other various locations): Big and bold and interesting because we had the ‘08 a few nights ago and I thought maybe it was a warmer year or something but this was very much in that vein. A bit harder to approach but also a lot younger than that wine. It was potentially a good wine, but a bit almost too much at the moment.

    July 29, 2021 - Toller Wein.
Modern und dabei aber auch mit Struktur und Tiefe.
Jetzt auch schon trinkbar, auch wenn er sicherlich mit dem Alter doch deutlich gewinnt.

July 8, 2021 - Night one completely closed even when decanting for a few hours. Put the wine back in bottle and waited to next day, then decanted for 8 hours to begin to see the essence of this wine. Tasted more like a super Tuscan than a Barolo. Very modern lots of cherries and tannins practically resolved. No rose or tar smell. A very good wine but not your typical Barolo. This needs lots more time.
