May 15, 2019 - The wine is clear with a bright, deep ruby color.

The nose is clean with a medium intensity of red and black fruit - a mix of primary and tertiary - red cherry, red plum, blackberry, dried plum, dried cranberry and raisins. Hints of oak spice (cloves) and dried herbs. The wine is developing.

The wine is dry with high alcohol, medium (+) acidity, medium unripe tannins, full body, medium finish and medium intensity of flavors - red fruit (red cherry, red plum), black fruit (blackberry, dried plum), oak spice (cloves) and an unpleasant note of oxidation (coffee, toffee).

The wine is good. It is showing deep fruit concentration that is well-integrated with notes of oak and bottle aging, making this a highly complex Taurasi. However, the tannins and acidity seem to be smothered by the high levels of alcohol making the wine appear flabby and dull. The lack of length further confirms that this is powerless for long-term aging.
