September 13, 2020 - Well, it’s 2020 and most of the previous 2018 notes are now faint traits. Acidity and fruit remain strong, making this very out of balance. Should not have kept it so long. The suggested drinking window is way off. It is now a red sauce pasta wine.

January 6, 2018 - PNP, then consumed over three hours. Very first sips showed tad too much oak and heat. As this got some air the fruit really started to show and it's very ripe with a raisin quality that's fun. The oak faded after opening but the heat lingered. Also has hints of dark berry, vanilla, pepper, and cinnamon / all-spice. Mild tannins. Nice acidity. Reasonable balance. A big wine but very enjoyable just the same.
