May 28, 2021 - By the glass, restaurant purchase from a just opened bottle and in a less than perfect (smallish Cab shape) glass. Translucent but fairly dark garnet color, more like a Brunello than a Pinot to me. More dark fruited than I expect from Pinot from most places outside Cali, though SRH usually are a bit more “old world” than this. Quite closed on the nose and short on the finish. My score reflects my assessment of what it was like with a few minutes in the glass, but to be fair I didn’t have enough time to have it fully express itself before we finished up at the restaurant. It certainly didn’t make a strong impression however.

November 28, 2019 - Opened a magnum. Great juice. Opened 40 mins before serving during Thanksgiving dinner. Paired well with all the sides and roasted turkey. Very nice wine.

June 14, 2018 - Highly acid and tart initially. Eventually raspberry and some dark fruit emerge but in an austere faction. Medium bodied and requires a few more years patience.

November 11, 2017 - ruby, fresh pinote on nose, medium body, nice balance between dark fruit and minerality, satisfying finish, some sous-bois after air
