December 30, 2022 - One-hour decant through a screened and aerating funnel. Some dark fruit during decant. Color was dark ruby, wine was clear. After resting, nose of berry compote and Eastern spices. In the mouth: not quite integrated and needs some more time. Low acid; lots of alcohol with a warm finish. Good wine for some robust meats and freezing temperatures.
