April 19, 2017 - Remarkably fresh and vibrant with no trace of oxidation. Alluring honeysuckle and orange blossoms on the nose, medium bodied with firm structure and no tartness.

December 27, 2014 - From a magnum. Opened and left in bottle for three hours. Better than the 750l bottle I had a year ago. Definitely CA style, but the years have given it some restraint and balance. A bit of butterscotch and vanilla with a touch of oak. Just enough acidity to hold everything together, but I would drink over the next few years, even from a large format.

January 1, 2013 - Not one of the better Isobels I have had. Overall, not a lot of great scores from me tonight, so maybe my palate was in a bad place. The classic Isobel structure is there, but the oak was more pronounced. A bit too much for me. Whatever it is, still holding strong with good acidity.

August 5, 2012 - Purchased at release from DuMOL. This has evolved into a very interesting wine, a shade better than the DuMOL Chloe I opened a few weeks ago from the same vintage. Moderately ripe stone fruit and orchard fruit with an intriguing character of roasted walnut aromas. Showing some mature character on palate, albeit far less than almost any other Sonoma Chardonnay from 2002, I think this is right at its peak today, with charming elegance and balance.

February 20, 2011 - Still very much alive. Yummy.
