May 8, 2023 - With plenty of air this is a very nice wine. How much air? - 3 hours then overnight in the vacuvinned bottle. It was really singing the second night. Deep purple fruit on the nose and palette with the fruit mildly sweet and a long finish. Would benefit from more time in the bottle.

December 31, 2022 - tasted blind in a group of 6 high end Syrahs. dark black color with concentration. great nose of blueberry and blackberry with notes of chocolate, licorice and graphite. This was my second favorite with Alban 2005 Reva slightly outshining it. great wine. it was the least expensive
    of the flight

August 23, 2021 - PDQ93. Really strong well. Fruit still nice, but more balanced

December 19, 2019 - Black pepper covered bacon fat, followed by ripe black fruit. Well balanced, and a long finish. Excellent, and exactly what you'd hope to get from a pedigreed vineyard and top notch winemaker. Bravo.

April 20, 2018 - This wine is incredible! It demonstrates voluptuous black cherry and boysenberry fruit but doesn't push the ripeness too far as there is beautiful freshness and liveliness. Complexity abounds with roasted meats, bacon, anise, cracked peppercorns and bitter chocolate. The palate is expansive and expressive; it represents that wonderful combination of approachability but with impressive tannic structure and power. This is truly great stuff!
