June 6, 2021 - gold colour. quite nutty, toasty well evolved by now with nice complexity but acidity holding it together. a great value buy for a vintage champagne. @finewine.explorer

July 19, 2014 - Mid gold. Reasonable stream of fine bubbles. Relatively evolved nose with a toasty biscuity character and a faint hint of a slightly oxidative character. Similar on attack, broad, quite rich, some ginger spice and warm brioche before tightening across the back end and showing traditional Lanson acidity. In a better place now than when last tasted four years ago and probably ready — not sure the front end will last as long as the acidity that follows it. Worked better with food than as an aperitif and survived well to the following day. ***1/2

January 2, 2012 - Champagne to perfection! The best I drank in a long time from Lanson.

April 18, 2011 - Past it. 97s are generally not for the long haul. Still drinkable but drink right now before it goes completely over the hill.

December 31, 2010 - Pale yellow. Quite a fresh nose backed up by cut apple and citrus aromas and the faintest hint of some slightly bready development behind this. Very crisp on the attack, acidity prominent and almost eye watering. Some rounding on the mid-palate to finish but still quite tart. Mineral and citrus, medium length finish. *** A glass left in the bottle overnight had rounded out a little and taken on more weight, also showing some ginger on the mid-palate. Better. Interestingly, this seems younger and less evolved than the 97 Noble Cuvee. ***1/2
