May 26, 2016 - What a giant. Juniper, allspice, rosemary and lavender. Chanterelles, tobacco and tar notes. Dark and red fruit flavors abound without being jammy. Wonderful tannins and acidity. Develops beautifully in the glass. Long, harmonious and slightly mineral finish. Just great!

October 16, 2015 - Same as 10/16/15:Plummy, jammy, juicy, lots of fruit, just a great cool climate Syrah with a lot of bold fruit. Drink now, pop and pour. Barrel 27 makes great drinkable wines at a good price point. Drink now.
