March 21, 2024 - Drinking so well. No meaningful signs of being too old. It was immediately available upon opening and was drinking well 1-2 hours later.

November 23, 2023 - decanted for several hours. perfectly drinking Rioja with clean bright fruit and very good acid tannin balance. Light in the mouth but with a medium length finish. Paired well with my TG Lamb curry

July 9, 2022 - Pulled the cork with a Durand - it was intact and in good shape, unlike the last bottle. Left it for an hour and then decanted and served. Lively nose showed layers of red fruit with a bit of sour Brett. Deep red cherry fruit on the palate starts full and round but fades quickly into sour cherry and acidity. Tannins on the finish are overwhelmed by the sour aspect. The sour character intensified as the wine sat in the glass. This bottle is over the hill. I suspect it was much better at some point in the past, but it rates only an 84 at this point.

February 19, 2022 - (at Tio Pepe - Baltimore). The best bottle yet. Glorious, silky, sweet fruited with just enough supporting acidy and wood influence. Really pure for Rioja. A wonderful surprise. (94)

February 9, 2022 - Cork wasn't good (easily moved around in the neck) and the wine was dead.
