May 21, 2023 - Still young and packed with formidable tannins. Hints of some lovely cassis and sweet tobacco come across on the nose, but the palate is closed for business. Not much change after being open for 24 hours. Try again in 3 years.

March 12, 2023 - By the glass. The softness and charm of St-Julien along with the seriousness of a structure more typical of a Paulliac wine. Ripe black fruit and spicy wood on the nose. Firmly recommended.

Por copas. La suavidad y encanto de St-Julien junto con la seriedad de una estructura más propia de un vino de Paulliac. Fruta negra madura y madera especiada en nariz. Firmemente recomendado.

November 26, 2022 - International Congress of Chinese Cuisine and Wine 2022 Masterclasses (Goodwood Park Hotel, Singapore): Medium ruby. Greener and fresher than the 2019 Amiral. Medium finish

November 26, 2022 - Tasted this wine at the Chateau Beychevelle Masterclass during the International Congress of Chinese Cuisine & Wine at the Goodwood Park Hotel.

Formidable tannins, with a herbaceous nose. Some notes that resembled the bark of an old tree.

Palatable now, but no rush to consume. Made with 46% Cabernet Sauvignon, 49% Merlot and 5 % Cabernet Franc & Petit Verdot.

November 5, 2022 - Really well made, lots of fruit, good acidity, polished tannins. Elegant, well-balanced with good depth and length. Serious stuff. 91-93
