    March 14, 2024 - Still young wine, yet showing, certainly, som of the virtues of the vintage. Soft, round, creamy, a good bit of spice, chocolate and some tobacco. Young but approachable. 93+

    April 23, 2023 - Still about 3-5 years before prime time, though there is an accessibility that displays pure and clean black and red cherry, black currant, cedar, dried roses, and hints of tobacco leaf. It rides a little high, with the grippy acid creating a snug and somewhat constrained execution of flavor, but it’s a complete wine with everything all in the right places. Not a ton of personality necessarily, which I hope will peek out more with a bit more horizontal time.

    Not a mistake to open now, but I sense there is more complexity and depth to come after 2027.

    March 5, 2023 - Académie des Cinquante Tasting and Dinner with the Académie du Vin de Bordeaux (Restaurant Entrepot, Amsterdam, NL): Walkaround tasting, brief note. Fresh and elegant, silky texture, flowers and spices, hint of earth, perfect weight, long and flowing.

    February 26, 2023 - Popped and poured, this is quite approachable, yet will age extensively. Blackberries, pipe tobacco, red currants and fresh cut lilies, this bellies up well to all things Pessac. There’s a little gravel as well. Medium to full in body, with fine tannins. A long and almost luscious finish. Drink now -.
