May 26, 2023 - Very clean cork. Decanted - surprising amount of sediment for the age and quite a wide clear rim. Colour very much purple. Nose a little muted - forest fruit and oregano. Beautiful plush Merlot palate - blend is 65% Merlot, 30% Cabernet franc and 5% Cabernet sauvignon. Fruit forward with refined tannins providing a great structure. Perhaps a little short on the finish, but a good expression of both the chateau and 2016 vintage.

September 21, 2019 - Medium bodied, smoky, spicy, fresh and bright, with an easy drinking, soft, open character, finishing with sweet, red cherries and licorice. Drink this now and over the next 10-15 years.

February 25, 2019 - Amsterdam UGCB Tasting and Winemakers' Dinner (Beurs van Berlage / Café De Klepel): Rounded and supple style, drinking well already but not without elegance and finesse, especially on the creamy finish.
