March 13, 2024 - Lovely nose with lots of black pepper and black berries. the nose is of course present on the palate and there is a great acidic balance, some graphite, a little coffee and nuances of green notes (bay leaves) are coming through as well. Medium to medium plus length. I like it a lot.

January 16, 2024 - Aromas of wet earth, smoke, blackberry, raspberry, and tobacco. Flavours of cassis, red fruit, violet, potting soil, chocolate, cream, and cedar.
Medium plus finish with a hint of chalk tannins to go with the inviting medium plus acidity. Solid stuff with a two-hour decant.2 people found this helpful Comment -

June 30, 2021 - By the glass. Standing behind the Château Pichon Longueville the result is as expected: harmonious power with elegance and a good ageing potential of at least another ten years. Its tight price makes it really worthwhile.
Por copas. Estando detrás el Château Pichon Longueville el resultado es el esperado: potencia armoniosa con elegancia y potencial de guarda de al menos otros diez años. Su precio ajustado hace que realmente merezca la pena. -

March 7, 2021 - Barnyard fumes dissipating to ripe mulled fruit. Entry is oh so rich, round, ripe, with touch of oak tannin, àlmost bitter in passing followed by sweet cherry acid note inviting another taste. A concentrated, balanced, voluptuous well made wine. Not classic Pauillac, zaftig is not a Bordeaux descriptive, but works for me.

September 26, 2020 - Deep dark inky color. Barnyard straight off, (it's been a long time since I smelled this but not a bad thing), once blown off like snifting barreled wine, alcohol, depths of ripe fruit, it doesn't stop. Taste is young and ripe and complex, mineral, iron, cedar, topped by bright fruit acid. Tannin for sure, perfect for aging this classic Pauillac. The most concentrated 2016 I've tasted with all that is needed to age for many years. If you want to taste a young ageworthy Bordeaux it can be tasted with pleasure then store the rest of your purchase for a yearly anniversary tasting - check your life expectancy prior to placing your order. 50 year old Bordeaux from great vintages are not to be passed by.
