    March 23, 2024 - A bit too young

December 31, 2023 - This was a pleasant surprise, perhaps showing just how well affordable Chateaux can perform in an excellent vintage. On day 1 this was a bit congested and tightly wound, but the quality was very apparent. On day 3, this was more fully extended showing rich classy notes, very polished. Wish I had a full case. I remember picking up a few of these as I had an older vintage that sang like a bird; I need to pick up more of these in future vintages - great value and a bit under the radar.

October 26, 2023 - Needed about 1-2 hours to open up, but after it did, it drinks just perfectly. A nice darkness to the wine. Dark cherry, black currant, tobacco, wet stone, and a long and earthy finish. The tannins are quite chalky and not too strong and the acid level is around a medium/medium+. I enjoyed this more than the 2015 that I had earlier in the year.

    Overall, a nice effort. Drink 2023 (with a decant) - 2033. 91 points.

July 1, 2023 - Classic Bordeaux - drinking well now with sufficient backbone to support several more years in the bottle.

May 20, 2023 - Communie youngest son - Lucius and ripe. Long life ahead
