Boire d'ici 2025. 93+

March 26, 2023 - Ripe cherries, ripe raspberries, cream, anise and cheese on the nose. If you can imagine a cherry cheesecake, that's what we have here. No hint of garrigue at all. The palate does add a hint of garrigue; and orange zest toward the finish but is otherwise consistent with the nose.

Medium + body with medium tannin and medium + zippy acid. Overall, this is a very clean CdP but missing some of the non-fruit flavors that make these wines so attractive to me. While the structure argues for drinking this now, I think some more tertiary flavors would benefit this wine. To my palate, then, I would argue it should age 2-5 more years.

November 27, 2022 - Nice, classic CdP, garrigue, kirsch, a little hot but that didn't kill the experience for me. Nice to drink if not quite as good as some of the better wines at this price point from the vintage.

September 26, 2022 - 90% of the Grenache comes from 70- to 100-year-old vines in La Crau, done with 10% Mourvèdre off 45-year-old vines.

Decanted 2h. Black cherries, fine black tea tannin, a whisper of balanced spice, dry soil, clove. The 16% is really well integrated.

June 25, 2022 - Popped and finished on day two. Fig paste, garrigue, raspberries, oolong tea and mineral. Sappy and full, with a welcomed percolating aspect during the long, savory finish. There’s an exhale of garrigue and red fruit. Approachable, yet very youthful and still more primary. There’s such a juiciness. Drink 2023 - 2035.
