April 28, 2024 - Corked - but still drinkable. Nice fruit underneath the cork taint. Modest finish.

September 30, 2023 - Astonishing spice and pepper, with a base of red fruit notes. Not strictly a new world Syrah, but a million miles from the northern Rhône , this plots it’s own course

  • Neecies Likes this wine:

September 21, 2023 - PnP'd. Floral, aromatic. Red fruit on the palate with salinity and a hint of black olive, but only a hint. Medium bodied with easy tannins and absent most of syrah's usual clues--no bacon, no pepper--it drinks more like a good pinot noir than syrah. But a good one. At or slightly past peak. No rush, but if I owned more I'd be inclined to drink not hold.

October 18, 2022 - On the nose: violets and roses, rich fruit (blue and purple), olives, and bacon fat. Luscious medium to full bodied mouthfeel with delicious, sweet (just on the right side of the edge of overly sweet) flavors that mirror the nose. 13.6% abv and moderate acidity make the wine very well balanced. Very fine ripe tannins that linger elegantly on the impressively long finish. There is just the slightest hint of bitterness at the end of the finish (perhaps from the stems?). Drink now-2036.

July 10, 2021 - Medium-bodied, only lightly acidic, light tannins. Floral aromas resting on top of nose of raspberry. Beautiful fruit, juicy throughout with a hint of darkness behind it. Rich mouthfeel, excellent length. Excellent effort.
