  August 23, 2019 - Orange wine. Rusty red colour/ dark copper, not clear. Funky, orange, marzipan. Palate is black cherry, tomato, tangerine, peach. Amidst the nose and palate of flavour there’s a crisp acidity that moves too much toward apple cider vinegar and makes it unbalanced. Shame.

  June 3, 2018 - Appearance:hazy blood orange color with slow viscous tears.
  Nose: Apple cider vinegar, funky fermentation odors, with subtle strawberry and floral notes
  Palate: sour strawberry and bruised red apple that leads with acidity but finishes with very slight tannins, almost chalky. Very subtle effervescence which draws additional finish out of this fun wine.
  
  Good orange wine that is especially hard to find in CO. Moderate value for $35-40, would buy again if looking for a unique wine.

  February 9, 2018 - Strawberries and roses on the nose. On the palate, apple cider, strawberry, rose petal, and notes of citrus and other red fruits, with sour, cidery acidity on the medium to long finish. The sourness makes this mouthwatering and easy to drink. This is a good value at a little under $40.

  December 5, 2017 - A Pinot Gris (100%) macerated for 1-2 weeks, aged for 18 months in large 2500-3500 liter oak casks. Light addition of sulfites before bottling.
  
  Striking, moderately deep and quite cloudy reddish orange color of a rose hip. Sweet, concentrated and quite wild nose with rather pronounced balsamic note of acetic VA, some bruised apple, a little bit of raisiny dried fruit, a hint of roasted exotic spices and a touch of orange marmalade. The nose is really over-the-top - even without the volatile lift the nose would be very unctuous, but the pronounced balsamico character doubles the intensity here. The wine is dry, robust and super-juicy on the palate with quite intense acetic volatile character filling in the smallest gaps between the remarkably ripe and rather concentrated notes of sweet black cherries, earthy Pinosity (this tastes more like Pinot Noir than Pinot Gris!), sour cherry marmalade, exotic spices and dried tangerine zest. The balsamic character lends a note that is strikingly similar to the one found in Rodenbach Vintage ale. The mouthfeel here is very full-bodied and even somewhat oily - although the wine is dry, the ripeness and the sweet balsamic notes make the wine come across as almost sweet and slightly sticky at times. With its moderate acidity and very slightly grippy tannins the wine remains very balanced and quite structured despite its immense concentration. The finish is spicy, really characterful and almost sweet with rich and concentrated flavors of bruised apple, some savory meaty tones, a little bit of balsamic vinegar, a hint of apple jam and sweet touches of caramel and dried orange zest. The aftertaste is very long, constantly evolving, almost meaty with its noticeable umami character and very slightly grippy from the tannins.
  
  What a powerhouse for an orange wine! Even though this wine even isn't from the top range of Radikon, it still shows more power, depth and concentration than many other more "higher-end" orange wines. The wild and volatile acetic character here is quite noticeable, and I can believe it is going to make the wine pretty divisive - some people will love it and some will appreciate the wine despite its pronounced VA, while others will find the acetic character quite overbearing and some will automatically mark a wine this volatile as faulty. I definitely in the first group, although I found the volatility a bit extreme at some points. I don't mind some VA, but perhaps a little less would've made this wine worth even more points. Nevertheless, a remarkable wine in its own right. Stunning stuff.
