April 8, 2023 - Museum release Dec 2022 from the winery
    Serrat Pinot Noir 2016
A slightly warmer than average year has meant this Pinot Noir is hitting its traps right now at 6 years of age, baked cherry tart, spice and florals, really detailed. The palate still super silky and long with great persistence, perfect right now.

my tasting note was very similar to the previous one on 28 May 2022
very disappointing, i'll try another to see if it's just bottle variation but I suspect not and this may have been an early maturing vintage

May 28, 2022 - Maybe in a dumb stage? Or just bottle variation, my first of this vintage and it was very meh, thin, boring, unbalanced. Tannin on the tip of my tongue, red fruit, reductive tar at the very very back of my tongue- half way down my throat…. Not like all my previous experiences with Serrat Pinot Noir

March 28, 2020 - Cherry spice nose, which follows on the palate along with charcuterie and cola hints. Quite good length and structure from the acid. A well made wine but this vintage is not exceptional.

    March 22, 2018 - very nice
a well showing new world style with the Australian twist
piercing sweet ripe fruit with some spicey notes and very subtle oak, good acidity and a decent long finish once it has breathed in the glass for a while.
    Good stuff
