April 2, 2024 - Super - I loved this. Really savoury, has the lightness of a red Burgundy, but the aromas and taste are to my mind slightly closer to a lighter, gentler Northern Rhone (I'm reminded slightly of an aged Barge... though it's not as good as one of those of course!). But super wine. A great justification for ageing Beaujo. And interesting that this is the non-tardive cuvee. My next bottle will be opened in a couple of years, I think, while my Tardives slumber still.

April 11, 2023 - Hmmm. this 1.5 litre is pleasant but lost some of its fresh fruit. Drink up

August 19, 2022 - Very good, rich dark red fruit, purple fruit, earth, stone, drank over several nights. Great crunchy acidity with fruit, nose and palate both expressive. Good fullness and length. Seems to be getting better with age. Kvm, 'steely tannin' is apt for the crunchy side of the palate, though not displeasing at all.

May 22, 2022 - This is about strawberries with a real sweetness, a little steely tannin on the finish. Pure fruit and pleasure. We opened the Burgaud 2016 Cote du Py at the same time. That wine showed darker fruit, a florality and a sterner structure... watch this develop for another decade.
