April 16, 2021 - Like the previous bottle. Good nose but unbalanced and (still?) not even slightly harmonic now. Got a harsh spice in the background and not enough 'fat'. Consumed over four evenings (vacuvin). Then, still not dead and consumeable. Can't say for sure if there's life in it, let's check in another year.

January 20, 2021 - Had the '15 vintage, which is rich and full, now the '16 "Smaragd", this GV falls on the shallow/unbalanced side. It has all of the typical characteristics, but they just won't get into harmony. It's all there but very radical and one after the other. Neither to heavy, nor too sweet, just very basic in every way. No heights, no depths. Was like this three years ago and did not develop any further. Drink now.
