November 15, 2013 - This is still drinking really well! Beautiful nose, licorice, dark cherries, dried herbs, a touch funky. Smells like great, aged Pinot. On the palate this starts initially fresh but almost immediately jumps into rich, umami flavors of aged cherry fruit, brown sugar, rich strawberries and cake. The structure is very resolved at this point leaving these rich flavors to show in the forefront. Despite these rich flavors, the body is medium to light, and the way this progresses through the finish is wonderful.
