February 14, 2020 - Delicious, Savory yet well balanced with great nuances and a velvety mouthfeel. Poured alongside a 2015 Scarecrow which in itself was delicious but presented with the typical dark ripe fruit profile for napa. this Harlan as least for the moment was more elegant and restrained but no less remarkable.

September 26, 2019 - Mesmerising. Poured by Don Weaver at the US embassy. Still young but already beautiful, nothing is in excess. Feels like being kissed by an angel.

August 15, 2019 - Napa with friends; 8/15/2019-8/18/2019 (Napa, CA): Tasted at Harlan Estate. Another super young wine that will benefit from at least a decade of cellaring. However much less primary than the '17 tasted from barrel. The fruit here is again dominated by blackberry and blueberry tones, dark chocolate but also some tobacco and eucalyptus come through on the finish. Powerful and structured.
