May 4, 2024 - Same as previous reviews but with 45 minute decant and drank over another 45 minutes with rack of lamb with a chili brown sugar rub. Lots of structure and good tannins but not too strong. Blue and black fruits. Great extraction. Not too ripe. Great CA Cab.

March 8, 2024 - Decanted one hour. Perfect cork that looks brand new. Dark black color. Nice Cab nose. Earthy and opulent. Lots of flavor layers. Not too sweet. Many more years to go but drinking great now. Excellent. Last year for Kobalt.

October 12, 2023 - Pop and poured thinking that based on its reputation (in my experience) as a big, fruit driven Cab, and its age, it should be ready to go. It's ready but it needs decanting. A good 92-point wine on day one. Day 2, noticeable better. Dark color and full bodied, blue, blackberry fruit, tobacco and just a hint of mineral/ earth essence and acidity. The flavors came from hibernation and show decently. Give this wine a decanting and enjoy it. 93+/ 94 Points.

June 30, 2023 - Decanted an hour but could have used more. Tannins are much softer but fruit is still young. Dark black color. Super extraction and massive flavor. Long, lingering finish. Maybe 97 points but being conservative. Worried a bit about the tannins being too soft for the young fruit. Medium acidity at best. Still a Tour de Force wine.

May 12, 2023 - Decanted for two hours then consumed over two nights. Since my last bottle was flawed, I think I owed this one a review. It presented itself as racy and quite complete. Nicely extracted, it impressively tore across the palate, feeling fresh and alive. Night two was more subdued with tannin amplified so I was personally drawn to opening night. Very nice wine.
