June 18, 2023 - Fruit forward but balanced. Some solid peppery notes as well. Some sweetness as well but not over powering. Good with steak.

December 24, 2022 - Christmas Eve. Decanted for an hour. Good but not much to it - was a little flat.

September 23, 2022 - Peppery.. needs time to decant and breathe. Delicious with steaks!

April 17, 2022 - Dark pretty Napa can. Strong fruity smell. Initial taste a sweet for me but good smooth finish. Wine continued to get better while drinking. Overall, I did not like it as much as I expected given price point, just a little too sweet for me.

March 28, 2022 - Dark ruby fruit - currants, blackberry, dark cherry, and some plum. Smooth mid-palate with solid depth/concentration, however, more of an extracted profile so also fairly rich/sweet. Nice rich flavors of dark berries, cocoa/chocolate, and some spice/licorice. Fairly long finish. Decanted for one hour and drank over a couple more. Improved a little with time but drinking well after the decant. Drank next to the 2018 Lewis Napa cab and I thought the Napa cab was a couple points better. Not as much depth/concentration as the Reserve but also not as rich/sweet and extracted. In my opinion, 95 for the 2018 Lewis Napa cab and 93 for the 2016 Reserve - in-line with the 93 rating from WS and Galloni for the Reserve. 100% cab.
