  July 30, 2021 - Ramonet Montrachet Lunch (Phoenix, AZ USA): In stark contrast to '12 Meo Richebourg, this wine was generous and accessible after a brief decant. The depth of fruit was remarkable, and the fine filigree evident even at this youthful age. I presume we caught this in a window before it shuts down, clearly there's material here to age for decades. I would be thrilled to taste this again in 15-25 years.

  May 19, 2021 - Sumptuous red fruits with laser precision and class. Textbook purity and character that you would expect from the very best grower. Despite the great frost, Rousseau has once again triumphed.

  November 5, 2018 - 2016 Rousseau Chambertin
  After a quick decant.
  Dark sweet floral, black fruit, w/black berry plum, seamless sexy sensually textured. Loads of underlying fruit power & while clearly just showing a hint of its ultimate potential. Likely will shutdown as so much fruit stuffing & structure, but open for business tonight. Amazing. Destined for legendary Chambertin status, one for the ages. Velvet glove with power. Rich concentrated & focused. Mineral driven, yet dense dark black expresso infused fruit. Liquid sex. Black earth on a foggy wet morning. Sweet, succulent & pure. Simply delicious and delightful. Textured. Slides down the palate & lingers forever. 97-100 potential.

  June 27, 2017 - Winos' excellent adventure in France; 6/22/2017-6/27/2017 (All over France): Big scale nose displaying intense black fruits, crushed blackberry, blackberry liqueur, ink, sap, incense, grilled cep and dark flowers. Incredible concentration, quite dense and oily yet airy and weightless due to finely layered intense black fruits, perfect amount of acidity and mineral. The finish is seamless and incredible long. Beautiful interplay of power, intensity, purity, precision and grace. A profound wine.
