April 16, 2023 - It starts like grapefruit rock candy, complete with a bit of residual CO2 and high acidity. As we drink the bottle the CO2 blows off and a smooth, smoky wine lays underneath. Petrol is beginning to show itself alongside ripe orchard fruit and chalky minerality. The mouthfeel is phenomenal, it has a phenolic grip that pairs so well with salty fatty foods. Another stunner from Lauer that could easily go another 5 years.

November 19, 2022 - On this particular evening, this showed an extra level of presence and weight. I was a little surprised by the richness and glossy texture of the wine. There were notes of apples, tropical fruits, smoke, and minerality on a creamy palate. The wine did gain energy with air, but never fully shook the richness to show the full verve that I know that this wine should have. A delicious wine, but may just need more time before opening another bottle.

October 27, 2018 - Penetrating nose of lime blossom, lime oil, pear, and crushed stone. Vibrant on the palate with zesty lime flavors and addictive energy.

June 15, 2018 - Open-knit nose of lime blossom & lime oil alongside peach, fresh herbs, and crushed stone. Impossible to put down. Just slightly off-dry. Drink starting 2020 if you can wait.
