May 14, 2021 - Nose rich, ripe black raspberry and plum with pronounced herbal notes. a tad on alcoholic side. Floral overtone - violets. To its credit, pleasant fruit and floral notes, not screwed up with excess oak. Not terribly complex, a tad too hot (alcoholic), and short finish.

July 30, 2020 - Discovering Italian Wine Class @ The Texas Wine School. Med + ruby. Med + intensity, ripe red cherry, black plum, grilled Mediterranean herbs, earth and some caramelized vanilla and sweet baking spices from 8-10 months in second use barrique. Dry, but with plenty of fruit. The acidity and tannins are med +. The alcohol is high (14%) but well integrated. Very well balanced, with med + body, flavor intensity and length, with a pleasantly bitter finish of black licorice. Drinking great at five years, it should show well for several more. Killer QPR in the $13-$17 price range.

February 22, 2020 - Island Wines (What Am I Drinking?! Bryn Mawr, PA): Solid wine for the price. Blind, you'd likely guess Cotes du Rhone.

February 3, 2019 - A charming rustic edge accented with undergrowth and herbs and a solid core of savoury red fruit. Smooth with rounded tanins and a succulent, long finish.

December 1, 2018 - Appearance is Ruby with bluish notes. Nose of cherry, raspberry, smoke, and licorice. Grippy tannins and a medium length aftertaste. Not complex, by any stretch of the imagination. But solid, would go well with pizza, meatballs, or other rustic fare.

Full disclosure - I am not a Grenache fan in general.
