April 19, 1991 - With Michael Lehmann at Singer & Foy survey of Domain Tempier. A bit washed out in color. Good, complex bouquet though – cocoa and dried flowers. Coffee bean/roasted nose. Good flavor and great length. Attractive. Very fine stuff. 4–11–15–7: 87/100.

May 1, 1990 - With Michael Lehmann at the London Wine Bar, circa 5/90. Light to medium ruby. Slightly light on the nose. Good coffee nose, though. Good tasting, with nice fruit and plenty of body. Decent but not as good as the 1982. 4-10-16-7: 87/100.
