April 19, 2020 - Clear ruby color. Classic Santa Rita Hills Pinot aromatics - pomegranate/fig fruit, sandalwood, hibiscus, paprika, black tea, allspice, and subtle earthiness. Rich fruit on the attack, with underlying depth found on the nose, with stony soil notes emerging. Broad elegance on the palate, medium-bodied, with succulent acid and smooth fleshy tannin, finishing dry and juicy and with moderate length. Very nice, a more restrained Brewer-Clifton. I think this will age well over the next five or so years.
