March 8, 2024 - Rich, round Heathcote Shiraz with the softness of Sanguine. It was the oldest of those on tasting last Sunday and that bottle was fraying. This one is not but is not for keeping. The acid is not there to hold it. Drink my remaining bottle.

December 26, 2020 - Deep red
Rich, complex, perfumed nose. Developing in the glass.
Rich, sweet, perfumed flavours. Good length. Beautifully engaging. Drinking well but will improve.
Where else in the world can make a 15.5 alc wine and have it be balanced and engaging, not jammy or overblown?
Nowhere else I know. This is so much better than the 2005 Guigal Hermitage we drank yesterday at less than half the price. May the world never discover Heathcote in earnest. -

May 26, 2019 - Earthy rich deep ripe fruits with dusty earth, with dark violets. Nice compelling savory mineral finish. Great example of rich heathcote shiraz with dense fruits.
