July 23, 2022 - Very, very pale lemon color.
Yeasty with a touch of light caramel. Lots of fruit, with notes of toasted bread, mocha and a nutty, nocino-like undertone, all of which is balanced by vibrant acidity. Unique and quite nice.

December 3, 2017 - The nose was vibrant with minerals up front followed by fresh floral tones, fresh sliced sweet apple and crushed stone. On the palate, it opened with cut and stimulating acidity yet settled into a soft expression as silky textures delivered ripe orchard fruits and earthy mineral tones. The finish was long, showing citrus infused green apple and lingering floritity.

November 17, 2017 - Tasted at the winery. More toast notes and lees qualities than the Cuvee Brut with lots of small, intense bubbles. Excellent mid-body fruit; showing a mix of white cherry, strawberry along with exceptional acidity and nicely tart citrus, very nice toast qualities and lots of minerals on the finish. Felt like it had more depth and density than the Cuvee Brut, while at the same, being dryer and showing slightly more complexity. A lot of Wiemer's pinot noir production now goes into these sparklers, rather than a still pinot noir varietal bottling. If this is the result, it's worth the trade. The mix of fruit depth, bubbles and acidic intensity make for a very enjoyable bottle. Impressive now and should improve over the next couple of years.

October 29, 2017 - We enjoyed this unique Champagne like bubbly this past weekend. Slightly drier to my palate than the (related) Cuvee Brut, the Blanc de Noir displayed trace elements of the kind that you only find in the Finger Lakes region of Upstate, NY. A tinge more "yeasty" flavor, it accompanied appetizers as well as sea bass during our son's wedding rehearsal dinner this weekend. We're fans!
