Community Tasting Notes 4

December 22, 2022 - Brix portfolio tasting (Oinoscent): The wine keeps the same profile as the 2021 tasted before but its broader. The fruit is more upfront, a touch riper, citrus, some floral/leafy notes, tight again but less than 2021
In the palate, the wine explodess with flavour, broad, pera, citrus, grapefruit, mineral, high acidity, lime, still some CO2 (?), med body, tight, long finish.
    Nice

October 29, 2022 - {cork, 12.5%, AP 28 17} Quite a deep yellow for just six years. Fairly reticent nose, with a sandy, minerally sort of aspect; the fruit seems very subdued. But there’s plenty of flavour on the palate, with strewed apples and classic Riesling flavours. Close to dry, medium/full in weight for the grape, with some initially spritzy acid that blew off fairly quickly. But there’s plenty of structure still. It’s quite big-boned, even if the flavours are a bit mild. Medium/long finish. I think this is about ready to drink, given the fairly developed nature of the flavours overall.

January 6, 2019 - I think this wine is shut down for the time being. Austere, ample minerality with hints of grapefruit and lemon. Not terribly expressive even after letting warm up to room temperature. Will save the rest of my bottles for now.
