February 22, 2024 - Nice clear ruby red color, no bricking or cloudiness. Red fruit aromas with hints of oak and herbs. Flavors of pronounced fresh red fruit, including red currant, cherry, raspberry and a hint of strawberry, as well as mineral and herbal notes. Medium bodied, intensely flavored, a great food wine with balanced acidity, gentle tannins, silky texture. Love it.

November 12, 2023 - Wonderful wine but perhaps a little past it’s peak. Still delicious and full of flavor. I don’t think any more aging will benefit but perhaps may take something away. Drink now if you haven’t already. Great example of what a great $20 wine can deliver. Portugal is tough to beat for affordable bold reds.

October 29, 2022 - Gripping tannins. Dried plum skins, crushed and muddled leaves with a hint of smoke. Would buy a case if I could find it.

October 3, 2020 - Robe violette. Décanté 1h30. Très long en bouche, sur des arômes d’anis et de violette et d’herbe. Astringence présente. On perçoit le 14% alcool, ce qui est un peu dérangeant. Manque un peu de rondeur.
