February 2, 2024 - Pale pink-orange in color. Chalky nose with lifted light red berries, orange and lemon zest. Quite straightforward on the palate that shows medium volume to the tart berry fruit, high acidity and a chalky finish.

December 2, 2023 - Love this bottle. It’s fresh, and fun. Light red fruit like strawberry, and sweet grapefruit, with good balancing mineral dust, , dried citrus peel, and lovely fresh acidity. This is a solid bottle, and an “every year purchase”! I will add that the Sable from Aubry was just incredible that I drank with this wine. Smashing rosé!

September 29, 2023 - Pale salmon pink in color. Vigorous, medium beads. Refreshing and easy to drink with tangy red berries, good acidity, hint of orange/lemon citrus zest and a mineral finish.

September 16, 2023 - According to the back label (which is specific to an importer in Italy) this is 50% chardonnay, 35% "pinots", 15% meunier vinified as red wine. Tirage 7/2020, disgorged 02/2022.

(However, I note that the batch currently being sold on the producer's website has a rather different composition, and the wine I have really doesn't look or feel like it's 15% red wine, so I'm a little sceptical.)

After a little air this has red fruits (redcurrant, wild strawberry) and a touch of minerality on the nose. These follow on the palate to be joined by a very pleasant creamy note on entry, proceeding to a crisp and drying (but not very long) finish.

Overall this is a very decent rosé fizz - perfect as a house champagne - good as an aperitif and with light food. And OK QPR at the ~US$46 that I paid.

    NOSE: light and chalky.

    BODY: pale salmon color

TASTE: light; leans a bit vinous; I'd guess a Pinot Noir - Chardonnay, if blind --- I would never guess there's still red wine in here, as it comes across as very light. Overall, very good, and a borderline re-buy around $45; imo, not as good as the 1er Brut, which sells for about $10 less (and would be my house bubbles if availability were better).

(NV L. Aubry Brut Rosé) ($64.00) All ’08. 45%CH, 40%PN, 15% still red of PM. Very dry; disgorged 1/11. As always, copper-river salmon and violets and blackberries, all of the ’08 flowers and groseille; it’s lost a little length to disgorgement, but lots of peony and freesia and bath salts. It’s the most studiedly dry Rosé in this offering. Lallement you sense can’t help itself, but this has been chiseled away to the spinal column of fruit.
