February 19, 2024 - reticent, but none of the bread crumb notes reminiscint of white bdx that this wine can hit with extreme age, its still in a creamy chablis like state with textural lees and sour cream driving the finish, fantastic wine.

May 13, 2023 - Wow! After I opened a bottle many years ago I was not impressed, as I remember a tight, not promising win. My second bottle in 2019 was very good, a big change. And now today! What a development! A beautiful seductive wine, still young, apricot, pear, lemon, a nice roundness and still tension with firm acidity. What a surprise, Price/Quality a bargain. 92/93

January 7, 2023 - Deep straw color, but still with some green stints. Quite astonishing for an Albarino of this age. The nose is somewhat balsamic at first; green olives and dry wood. This soon gives way to a more ripe citrus-like fruit in the vein of orange and pickled lime. A smoky tone comes up as well. Complex. Full bodied attack, oily mouthfeel, orange peel and lime on the midpalate, combining a sweet orange-tinted taste with high acidity. Has an almost Sauternes-like feel in the mouth, but it is bone dry. Very long and lemon-like finish and aftertaste that combines the balsamic/olive notes with an impressing freshness. This wine has been in my cellar for 2-3 years, and there are few signs of fast aging. Drink or keep (for God knows how long). This is perhaps the most impressing vintage of this wine I have tasted, fresher and less heavy than '10 and '11. Look forward to tasting the '12.

October 3, 2021 - Tasted together with the 2010 and 2011 vintage. This is a rather heavy version of Albarino, almost verging on a sweet wine. Nose dominated by dried apricots, some pineapple and lots of sweet red apples. A petroleum tone emerges after a while in the glass. Full bodied, high acidity, almost sweet apricot fruit reminiscent of Sauternes in the mouth. Long and sweet aftertaste barely balanced by a searing acidity. High extract gives the wine an almost tannic feel. A very special wine. Will probably keep well for many years, but is clearly drinkable now. Drink with food with a heavy, buttery sauce.

July 28, 2021 - Light golden colour with a greeny hue. Nose shows lemon seaweed and brine. Very fresh on the palette with decent acidity holding it together very nicely, and some persistence on the finish. A lovely match for seafood.
